Water damage is another common cause of drywall damage, and it can require more extensive repair. Roof leaks, a burst pipe, or a leaky sink can all cause water damage that needs immediate professional attention.

Our drywall repair process goes a little something like this:

• Cover the area with plastic to keep your home clean
•  Square up the hole
• Install two 1×2 backing on the inside of the drywall hole
• Measure and cut a new piece of drywall
• Screw it in
• Apply mesh tape 
• Apply drywall mud (minimum two coats)
• Wet sand it to ensure a smooth finish
